Bains gas storage project advancing
The Bains gas field has been a highly successful development for First Oil and its partners Centrica (Operator) and GDF Britain. The field is now approaching the end of its producing life and the partnership is well advanced towards sanctioning the conversion of Bains to a gas storage facility. The £300-£350 million project is scheduled to have all necessary consents in place for a sanction point in Q1 2009 and to be operational by winter 2011/12. (September 2008) |
