West Don Production

On 28th of April 2009 production commenced from the West Don field. First Oil has a 19.275% interest in the field which is operated by Petrofac. Production in May for First Oil has been at record highs reaching 8,762 BOE within the month. The second producing well from West Don is due on stream this summer and therefore net production is on course to exceed 10,000 BOEs per day in the near future.

Production has been achieved from West Don in less than one year from receiving governmental approval of the Field Development Plan. Oil export from the production facilities is initially via offshore tanker loading. (April 2009)
